36 days of type 2020 -
Illustration, typography
36 Days of Type is a project that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to express their particular interpretation of the letters and numbers of the Latin alphabet.
During the first lockdown of 2020, I started with the creation of all the letters and numbers. After I was finished I started to see a little story in my letters and so I created the comic "36 days of type - a parallel universe"
A parallel universe -
Recent events in the real world started to influence my drawings: supermarkets that ran out of toilet paper, hysterical theories on the beginning of COVID, ... In the end my illustrations turned into post-apocalyptic scenes.
As the 36 days challenge came to an end, I saw a connection between my drawings and that's when I created a little comic. My version of our world post-COVID in a parallel universe.
"I was in lockdown, so I created an universe"
